Kindergarten Mini Session

This morning Jake had his first "mini session" at school. It was a 90 minute class with only 11 of the kids. It's part of the gradual entry program for the Kindergarten classes. He did great! I was so proud to see him behaving and listening. They were all standing in line when I arrive to pick him up. I couldn't believe he was standing there waiting patiently (patience is not one of his fortes). When it was time to leave the classrom, the teacher said goodbye to each kid and shook their hand. It was so cute. I think it made Jake feel special...he had the biggest grin on his face!

His little friend Tmayah is in his class. He knew her in preschool. Her mom told me that Tmayah was fixing her hair before class and said "I think Jake will say I'm beautiful". We thought that was so cute and funny...who knew 5 year olds cared about stuff like that? Lol...

I think Jake is going to do well there...so far it seems like a great fit for him! I'll post some pictures once I unpack my wires!
