We went down to Jake's school for his first classroom visit this morning! They had the kids make crowns with their names on them, glitter name tags, and they did a "scavenger hunt" where the kids looked for special rooms in the school.
Jake found out that he has a friend in his class that he went to preschool with! He was so excited to see her, that he lost interest in everything else and just wanted to know where his friend was. Is this a normal 5-year-old thing? Or just a Jake-not-being-able-to-focus thing...lol. He got really upset when he found out that his friend left without saying goodbye. He pouted and wouldn't even look at the teacher to say goodbye! We were so embarrassed. I hope it gets better he can actually have fun at school! He was totally fine once we got home. Bentley had a little chat with him, so we'll see if it helps for the next visit with the teacher on Thursday.
I better go pack a few things before Amy wakes up! I can't wait to move!
